Student discount

If you guys have loyalty discount I highly recommend don't sign up for student discount if you have more then 2 lines. I have seen so many people be victim of this bait and switch and I learned after the fact. I had loyalty discount that I redeemed in verizon up. My current bill actually has it. Someone told me to hey get student discount you get $25 at the store. So I signed up. next thing I saw my loyalty discount removed, i was like oh okay its probably because I got $25 now. Fiar, but wait. I got $0. So I got $0 student discount and I lost my loyalty.

So far I have gotten 0 help and constant run around from reps. One even told me I never got loyalty, but hey its just on my bill just printed, so I must be lying. He also said too bad nothing he can do now. he also said you are stuck with the student discount. Then I have chatted 3 more times without any help, another rep told me yes it can be removed but then disappeared lol, she did say loyalty can be restored from loyalty department.

What I am most disturbed with is, Verizon has this dumb system that sees you don't get any student discount so it removes any other discount you are getting. So basically its a bait and switch and I have seen so many threads of people being ripped off by it. Total incompetence is i have begged to remove my student discount since it has 0 benefit to me, but their refusal to do that is so frustrating. AT&T reps could remove discount in a minute under your account, I am amazed there is such hesitancy. it must be because they know as long as you have that you are not getting no other discount including loyalty. IDK if anyone here can help, but I want people to be very aware of this because they hide that up to 2 lines in fine print, and they don't even say if you have more then 2 its 0. it sounds like its capped at $25 no matter how many lines you got. But whatever it is, looks like lot of people get screwed over by it.

Due to this I will not be doing any more business or addition once my contract is up I will likely be going elsewhere. I recently added an iPad and due to 0 help on this will be returning it before my 30 days are up if his isn't fixed. Crazy how hard you have to try to get help here.

I know how disheartened I would be if I lost a loyalty discount as well, @Nkd83 . Especially if I had signed up for a student discount in lieu and that discount appeared to be $0 because of how many line of service. It is true that the student discount program does only offer a discount on a maximum of 2 lines, which is clearly stated in the FAQ here: https://www.verizon.com/featured/students/ (see "How much is the student discount for Verizon phone plans?")

While I cannot promise that we would be able to get your loyalty discount back, we would be happy to take a look and review any options available for you. Please be on the lookout for a private note from us.

I had the same issue and lost my loyalty discount. I wasn't able to get this resolved after multiple cases open with customer support, they claimed I was unable to get my loyalty discount back and I was ineligible now. It was a pretty disappointing outcome and definitely has me looking elsewhere now.

After contacting support, they were unable to get the loyalty discount reapplied since it's a pushed offer and I was denied my request to try to get it reinstated.
