In the last month my bill went from $200 to $900 after terminating a phone on my plan after an agent suggested it. I had gotten a phone in February and no longer needed it . It was past the 30 days and I realized I was stuck with it. That was fine but I called to see if there were other options. After explaining my situation to the agent , she stated a rule that I didnโt know. After 30 days of termination you would be able to return the phone at no charge. I was thrilled , made sure to clarify and then happily proceed with the process. As soon as I got off the phone, I went to the store and explained my situation ( had box, cord, phone in hand) and they told me I was lied to. I immediately start panicking because I canโt afford to pay $900+ and was very clear with the agent on the phone that i would just simply pay the bill for the cost of the phone if there was no option and she lied to me. I left and called Verizon back and explained my concerns and was told that they didnโt see any charges and to not worry about the payment. Well this month my bill is over $900 and I simply cant pay it.

Sorry to hear that, thought I would like to know if before terminating your device you had an existing agreement with the device itself or if you have been with Verizon for less than 12 months? Because usually termination fees applie if you choose to disconnect your services with us within the contract?

We're sorry to hear of your experience, Cantaffordthis. Typically, if your device was purchased under a device payment plan, upon cancelling the remaining balance will be billed to the account if there's still a balance associated with it. We'll be sending a Private Note to better assist.
