The issue with line upgrades.

I went to Best Buy yesterday and some young kid who works there messed up my upgrade. Instead of upgrading the eligible line, he upgraded the line that had the device on it that was not paid off.  I was sure I was paying for my new phone in full, instead, I paid off my older device. The problem is that I had an $800 trade-in credit in  $22 dollars installments each month. Since I paid in full I lost this discount completely. 

Is there any way I can get my trade-in amount back? I can't believe I just lost my  $800 trade-in discount.

Any suggestions on what to do to recover it?
