Trade In Credit Issue

I upgraded to an iPhone 14 Pro back in early June largely due to an attractive trade-in offer of $700 for my iPhone 12 Pro.  The iPhone 12 Pro was dropped off at a UPS Store on June 12 and delivered to Verizon in Fort Worth, TX on June 16, which was within the required trade in window.  Since then, there has been no credit reflected on my monthly bills.

I have called a few times and attempted an online chat once.  On the first call, the representative eventually confirmed that the old phone had been received, but we got disconnected (after being on the phone for over an hour) and she never called me back (why do they ask for a number if they aren't going to use it?).  On the chat, I got disconnected and despite having my contact info, the representative never got back to me.

On 8/30 I spoke with another representative who also eventually confirmed that the phone had been received and said the credits should start showing "1 or 2 billing cycles after August".  It's now past that point and still no sign of the credit showing up on my monthly bills.

Can someone please provide actual closure on this or advise me on how best to proceed?  Every time I call or get on chat, I lose a few hours of my life and seem to get nowhere.
