Trade-In Status issue

We sent 2 phones in for trade in.  Verizon sent an email saying both phones had been received and were being evaluated.  Both phones were in excellent condition.  We received an evaluation for the first phone right away.  Silence on the second phone.  It's been about two weeks.  After reading the horror stories from others, we're thinking this will take months to get resolved.  We've tried "chatting" with representatives a few times and they tell us to call the 800 number.  We call the 800 number and get a machine.

This is not okay.  If you are going to promise an evaluation and credit to a customer to get them to purchase a new phone/plan, you need to honor that!
