Trade-in and customer service

During the holiday season the airwaves were inundated with a Verizon offer to accept "any phone in any condition" as a trade-in for the Apple I-phone 16.  We fell for the offer and were assured we could trade in our two working Android phones.  When all the paperwork was signed and sealed it turns out we are only receiving the trade-in credit for one of the phones.  My monthly bill is $35 more than I was originally promised.  When I contacted Verizon customer service I was told the error would be corrected and the second phone trade-in credit would be applied.  Well, it has been two months and I am still not receiving the promised bill adjustment.  Be careful when accepting Verizon marketing ploys.  You just can't trust them.  By the way, it is nearly impossible to reach a live customer service representative.

Hello there, we sincerely apologize for any billing errors that have occured. The typical turn around time for promotion corrections can be 1-2 bill cycles, but I'm more than happy to further investigate and ensure that all promised credits are applied. I'll be sending you a Private Note to get started.

This is an update to my previous posting. I was lead to believe we could trade in two phones for upgrades in accordance with the holiday ad blitz Verizon televised.    But, after I paid $236 to pay off a 2 year old Samsung phone  I was currently using  (it was in perfect working condition) and it was switched over to the new phone, and all the paperwork was completed, it turned out I never received the trade-in credit for the Samsung phone.  Then after twice working with Verizon customer service, spending hours texting back and forth, I was given a link to complete the trade in process on line.  As it turns out, the 2 year old Samsung phone (in perfect working order) is not eligible for the "any phone in any condition" trade in offer.   On top of that, they charged me $70 for the privilege to buy new phones and pay $52.89  more each month for 36 months of service.  Don't fall for Verizon advertising that sounds too good to be true.  Because it is not true!
