Verizon, Can you have someone help me resolve the issue that I have been working on for one year now? It is beyond frustrating. I have called repeatedly over the past year and it never gets resolved. Every CSR acknowledges the facts of the case and says they want to help me. They assured me that they are filing a Fall Out Form and that I should see a resolution on my bill in five days. Then nothing happens. For a full year. Is this intentional fraud? This is easy to resolve. I have the same issue as this person: Community Forums - Re: trade in credit not applied seems to be a big ... - Verizon Community and others that I see posting here. All I want is a resolution. I traded in an S9 for an S23 Ultra on April 28, 2023. I was promised $800 for my trade-in. When I didn't see the credit, I called on May 12, 2023, and was promised a monthly credit of $22.22 would start showing up on my bill. I called on July 28, 2023, and still no credit. Then again on July 31, August 4, August 17, 2023, and April 14, 2024. Still no credit! Now, I owe less on the phone than the $800! I have begged, pleaded and expressed my anger to the CSR's. They have all been professional, but none of them can help me. I have asked to speak to higher management and you cannot get directly to anyone who can actually fix the problem. In fact, you can't get past the CSR. I run a $17 million business and if my CSRs are not treating someone right, the case can be escalated. Not so with Verizon. I have spoke to a friend at Verizon and they can't even get me to someone. Verizon, are you listening?

Hello, LiveOn4. My apologies to hear of your experience as this has been going on far too long. You definitely deserve some answers and a resolution. I am sure you have been asked many questions so my apologies for asking you for information that you may have already provided, but we will be reviewing this with a fresh set of eyes to get your concerns resolved. Let's get started. Do you have the trade-in submission ID for the trade-in in question and the tracking number?

Hi, I'd be really frustrated too if I was dealing with this for a whole year. Is it possible your trade-in was never received, or else what you were told verbally regarding the trade-in ended up not being what the trade-in was worth? There are numerous threads I've seen where trade-ins have been lost/stolen in shipment, or when whomever got the trade-in at the warehouse assessed it, was assessed at lower than whatever a salesperson at the store said.

They did receive the trade-in but then valued it as $16. This was not the deal. When I go through the story with Verizon they can see in the record where I was promised the $800 and that they did receive my trade-in phone. So there is no question there. Did you get resolution?

Thank you for the details LiveOn4. Do you have the submission ID? Did you submit the trade in on time?

@LiveOn4, I haven't done any trade-ins with Verizon. Just a customer who enjoys helping others if she can. ๐
I can't find anything on the internet regarding the ad I'm thinking of, but it this was the ad which was running on TV around Fall 2023 saying you could trade in any Samsung in any condition for a new S23 (or maybe S24?), I'm willing to bet the fine print said "up to $800", not that everyone doing a trade-in will automatically get $800. RetailMeNot has a reference to an "up to $800 rebate" promotion when I was just surfing elsewhere on the internet now. What you'd actually receive for a trade-in depends on the actual device itself and its condition. So unless you have it in writing, signed by both you and a Verizon representative, that you're supposed to receive $800...
