Unable to pay using my bank info

I have been trying to make my payment and it won't let me use my bank account. I have tried everything I can think of. This is a bank account I've used to pay my bill for years but this month I can't use it. I've been trying to contact customer service for a couple days and I can't get through. My bill is due on Monday and I really don't want it to be late. Please, anyone help me.

Can't speak for what's going on with the online payment thing...it's either some glitch with Verizon or maybe your bank is blocking the payment for some reason.  But you can pay your bill in person at a corporate Verizon store.

We're sorry to read about the issue with making a payment. What error message do you get when trying to make a payment? ~Peter

I have been having the same issue for a couple of months now, and I have now lost the $30 discount I was getting for using autopay!!! I also lost another discount for some reason. My bill has gone from about $180 a month to now $300 a month over the last few months. It let's me use the debit card for the account for payment, but that is ineligible for autopay. Not happy about any of it. Someone please fix this issue for all of us!

I know how important these discounts are to our customers, as they are important to me as well, araff_rn. I know that a debit card no longer qualifies for the autopay discount, and it has to be direct debit from your bank, or the Verizon Visa card. However, if you previously had the autopay discount with your debit card, unless the automatic payments were cancelled, or updated to a different payment method for a period, then you would retain that discount.

It does sound like we will have to take a look into this matter on your account, so please be on the lookout for a private message from us.

Same here! This also happened last year to me from Verizon and they ended up charging me a bunch of extra fees, leading up to a $700+ bill โ€ฆ and it is happening again, right now. So frustrating.

Having access to make your monthly payment is a must. Help is here. Please share more info on what is happening. Are you receiving an error message when you attempt to make a payment?

My mom continues to have this issue with her account. It says her bank account cannot be found. It is a Redstone federal credit union account which is what I use with no issues

I've had this exact problem, for both when I use it directly with my bank account or with my debit card. No one has helped me and they just keep sending me in circles. I've had breakdowns about this now because I don't know what I can do when I'm literally trying to give them my money!

Hello CheeseBee. Let's get this payment issue addressed. What account do you have? Was this wireless or Fios? What error are you seeing?-Joe

I just recently ran into this problem myself. Autopay was somehow canceled so I now donโ€™t have the option to use my bank account anymore. So Iโ€™m no longer going to be getting the discount for autopay, as it doesnโ€™t count towards cards. So now what Verizon? Auto pay is handy for me as it just gets automatically taken out. This is such a pain. One of the many little problems of Verizon.

I'm sorry you were having an issue with AutoPay, OreosMomma. I would love to help. Why was your AutoPay cancelled? What error do you see when entering your info? -Joe

The exact same thing happened to me. I lost my discount, and tried re-adding my bank account back, and it wonโ€™t let me. Says โ€œcannot access your bank at this time, try again laterโ€ very frustrating cause now itโ€™s even more per month, and I canโ€™t even access my bank now? When I had it on there before? Ugh

We are sorry for the issues you're encountering Inorganic. Can you please elaborate further on what you mean by you cannot access your bank account now? Is the application allowing you to try to add a different bank account?

Iโ€™m even unable to add my debit card. It says my info is incorrect when it absolutely isnโ€™t, Iโ€™ve looked over and redone the number numerous times. On top of that, it wonโ€™t load my bank account. When I go to โ€œadd bank accountโ€ I search up my bank, it popped up, once I click on it, Verizon loads for maybe a second and says โ€œcannot access your bank at this time, please try again laterโ€. Doesnโ€™t make any sense given that I had the debit card on there before, I just missed a payment. Frustrating.

Hi, what I believe is going on is your autopay got cancelled for missing a payment.  Have read about this before in the forums, and if dialing #PMT or the one-time bill pay site which doesn't require a login

https://www.verizon.com/digital/nsa/nos/ui/payment/otp/login#/

doesn't work for paying your bill, you may be stuck having to go to a corporate Verizon store to pay in person.  Rumor has it if your account gets placed on "cash only" status, it is at least 6 months of paying on time before you can use autopay again.

Verizon: Stuff happens to people all the time.  While I understand not wanting to give known bad credit risk folks second chances over and over, if someone misses one bill one time, shouldn't you give them a little more leeway before cutting off their autopay?

I appreicate you sharing what happpend there. If adding your checking account is running into an error, I recommend doing a cleaning of the cache and cookies on your browser. Once cleared, do a fresh sign-in with My Verizon. Then try to add the checking account option for Auto-Pay. Clearing the cache/cookies tends to resolve most issues when using the site, so please give that a try, then make the Auto-Pay changes.

Itโ€™s the Verizon app, on iOS. How do I do it there?

I just tried this on my browser, and it didn't work, as my account is literally "INELIGIBLE to use a bank account" I've been restricted on putting a bank account on my account for auto-pay all because I missed ONE PAYMENT due to money troubles. I made the payment on August 1st, but I don't even know if it's been taken out yet.  As I said earlier, I'd use a debit card, but that's not eligible for auto-payment, only a bank account. BUT I can't add said bank account.

I love how Verizon punishes long time customers, my family has been a loyal Verizon Customer for 25 years. I've recently taken over the account as the account owner, my mother, is no longer with us. So this is now my responsibility. (I sadly lost all of her benefits too, as she had one for being a 25 year customer; could be longer).

I personally wouldn't even be using Verizon, but this is the only cellphone service provider I get in my area, so I am here. Before this, not once have myself or my family had ANY issues with Verizon. This is ridiculous as I know for a fact my family has NEVER missed a payment, not once. I understand not wanting to give customers that have multiple payments chance after chance, but honestly? You could've reached out to me, through whatever way. Instead of putting that restriction on my account.

Personally, please fix it, take it off; as when I'm not home on Wi-Fi, Verizon Cell Service is the ONLY way I am able to contact ANYONE in my family; even reach out to my long distance boyfriend as well.

UPDATE: I added my debit card as there's no other way to pay for my Verizon Bill, since my account is restricted from using a bank account. I am very, very disappointed I am not getting the discount with Auto-Pay being on, as I can't use a bank account. I do hope this gets fixed.. Once it does, I will remove my card, and re-add my bank account. But until then, card payment it is..

It tells me I am "ineligible to use a bank account for auto pay" That was the only way that I paid for my Verizon bill, was through my bank account. But now I can't add it. I am not very sure why my autopay was cancelled. I do know that there was a problem with my previous bill, and that it wasn't able to be paid. But I paid it as soon as I got the notification, which was on the 1st of the this month.  Even if i don't use autopay, I'm not even able to add my bank account period as a payment method anymore. I don't want to loose my service, as Verizon is the only thing I get where I live, and I would also like to continue using AutoPay, and my bank account. This is pretty frustrating.
