Went into Verizon store in Novi to look into changing to an unlimited data account. Manager said we qualify for new IPhone 12 for each line (3) if we go to 5G with unlimited data. No mention of new lines or any other “requirements”. We went for it, new phones were ordered and delivered and they said we’d be charged for “2-3 billing cycles then the promo will kick in and they’ll credit your account. It’s the way Verizon does things”. That was in December of 2022. It’s now July of 2023 and I’m still being billed and Verizon says we should “work it out with the store” which was temporarily closed last time I tried. I’m over this nonsense and since Verizon is well know for its “free phone” ads. my next step will be the Better Business Bureau and the State Attorney General’s office.
