VZ rep says changing the Billing Cycle/ Due Date is impossible?

New FiOS customer here, installation date was March 2. My first bill was due on March 27 which is not even 30 full days. I paid that bill, then called and asked that billing cycle be changed so that payments are due on the 5th of the month. The Verizon rep swears that this is impossible.
Has anyone been successful in getting their billing cycle/due date changed? It's ridiculous to be told they can't.

No its not impossible. Although they don't make it obvious how to make a change.
