Hello,
After spending hours on the phone and in chats with Verizon reps (all very kind), I have been told that my promise of 4 $200 Verizon gift cards for a total of $800 has been refused by the Rebates department.
My family moved to the USA from Europe this summer. At the Verizon store, the person who was trying to get to sign up told me that we would receive $200 per person for signing up. I mentioned that we were coming from Europe, and he said that was not a problem.
I received an email from Verizon a week later, indicating that he had signed us up for the rebate.
However, when I checked on the status, I was told it was not eligible. Either the representative did not know the criteria for the promotion or he misled me to get me to sign up.
Regardless, this was a major factor in choosing Verizon over competitors, and the mistake is clearly Verizon's responsibility.
I have spent hours on the phone and texting with Verizon without getting clear answers, until today when I was told that it was a firm no.
Can somebody from Verizon please look in to this? Otherwise, I will proceed with filing a complaint with my state's Attorney-General's consumer protection and the FCC: https://consumercomplaints.fcc.gov/hc/en-us/articles/360001201223
Thank you.

RNRN121212, we're always thrilled when people join the VZ family. I'm sorry there's been some issues with the VZ Gift card rebate. We can certian review the submission and see what's going on. As part of that, sending a Private Note so we can get more details.
