Last month, I added a new line for my uncle and wanted to bring his old number and device to my plan with Verizon. They provided me with an free iPhone 13 and required a two-year contract for it. Initially, the representative added a temporary number to the new line and informed me that I just needed to call them to transfer my uncle's number onto the temporary one.
However, when I contacted Verizon to proceed with the transfer, the person I spoke to didn't seem to understand my request. As a result, they created another new line for my uncle's number instead of transferring it. Consequently, they terminated the temporary number, leading to an unexpected increase of about $90 in my bill.
Adding to the problem, the iPhone 13 was initially linked to the temporary number, and when they terminated it, they had to transfer the contract to another line on my plan. Unfortunately, during this process, they successfully transferred the bill but failed to retain the credit that was initially promised when they said the iPhone 13 would be covered by them.
I have been trying to resolve this issue for over a month now, but every time I contact a representative, they claim to have sent an email to their corporate team, and I am left waiting with no resolution. Meanwhile, Verizon continues to overcharge me, which is completely unacceptable. I am really frustrated and hope that someone can promptly and effectively address and resolve this matter.

Hey DanielY, that was awfully nice of you to get your uncle a new line on your account. We're sorry to hear that there were some issues during the port process that cause this to happen, and we want to help find a solution.
Please be on the lookout for a private note from us so that we can better assist.

Same thing has happened to me. Itโs been 6 months and Iโve been overcharged $32.36 every month. 4 new phones are supposed to be free but one line doesnโt get the discount. They owe me $194.16 and every month they say itโs fixed and Iโll get a credit also. None of these has happened yet. Iโm so angry I switched from T mobile to this.

I'm thrilled you joined us, but saddened that an issue with a promotion is giving you stress. I sent a Private Message so we can look at this in more detail and see what's going on.

They never refunded me the fee related to falsely opening the new number. But they refunded me the full credit in the end. You need to get the representative involved who you got the deal from. My representative was super helpful and saved alo it of my sanity .
