Verizon Wireless Giftcard to Pay FIOS Bill

When I upgraded my Fios a few months ago, I was told I would be sent a Verizon giftcard. I received it this weekend and tried to use it to pay my Verizon Fios bill. On the website, it clearly says the giftcard can be used to pay your bill. However, when I tried to contact FIOS, they said this is a Verizon Wireless gift card. Why would I get a Verizon Wireless giftcard when I do not have a Verizon Wireless account??

I want to be able to use this for the intended purpose which is to apply towards my Verizon account. Please assist.

Unfortunately this is all in how it’s worded.

the gift card particulars are in writing as being subjected to Verizon Wireless this is done as to get more customers and further the profit margins of Verizon it is a good business promotion.

you could find a Verizon wireless customer to buy it off you. However the gift card may not be transferable and may be linked only to you.

maybe if possible you can swap it with another Fios customer who also has Verizon wireless.
