Verizon credit reporting and billing issues

Verizon customer service is a nightmare! I paid my bill in full but it never properly credited to my account. I have called REPEATEDLY over the past 4+ months and they have been unable to get this fixed. Worse, this has been sent to a credit collection company and I now have issues on my credit report! I cannot believe how badly Verizon customer support is!!!

I need a direct telephone number for someone in the NY billing department. I called collections and they were useless. I cannot believe how difficult it is to work with Verizon customer service!!!

Further update - I actually need a direct line for the New York payments center. This service is totally ludicrous but I believe I am starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel!

I thought I answered this yesterday?

contact the NYS Public Service Commission http://www.dps.ny.gov they handle the billing issues.

contact the NYS Attorney Generals Office at http://www.oag.ny.gov

they handle the false credit reporting issue.

contact the FCC about how the issue is not handled http://www.fcc.gov 

and lastly contact the Better Business Bureau at http://www.bbb.org to post a public issue so verizon can handle it there.

The recovery group refuse to help me until the Verizon billing system shows no balance which means I need the payments group to correct the balance there. However, after wasting an hour on hold today AND supposedly getting a supervisor to call me back last night ( which never happened), I am still no further forward fixing this. 

Please help me resolve this!!!
