Opening the My Verizon mobile app that I installed on my iPhone 8, it asks for a phone number to verify my device. I put in my mobile # and it says "That doesn't match our records. Give it annother try," I also tried my home number from Verizonand got the same message.
That's the "Get Started" screen, without which the app is un-useable.
Does anyone know what the problem might be?
I have no trouble logging on to My Verizon on my desktop Mac, and my profile lists my mobile number correctly.
I'd appreciate any suggestions. Thank you.

I opened a prepaid account with Verizon wireless last year. Verizon wireless provided me a new number. When I call my cellphone number doesn't match my name and instead shows someone else's name! For work I need my name and number to show when I call clients. I have been trying to get this resolved for almost 1 year and no one has been able to help me. They have submitted tickets, transfered me to technical support, blocked my calls when I try to follow up and they even stated I need to change my plan from pre-paid to post-pay if I want them to get my number to match my name!!! Calls get transfered to out of the US.

I've tried to get my caller ID to match my name for the past 9+ and no one has been able to help! Calls get dropped, bad connecttion, they can't hear you and the system limits you to one call then blocks you from reaching customer service. You can call but system will not transfer you again. You will get this msg. Unfortunately we are unable to connect your call to a representative.
