Verizon technical support

  • Woke up this morning and was unable to send or receive text messages  (samsung messages app) tried restarting the phone and clearing the app storage cache to no avail.

Took the phone to the local Verizon store for assistance.  The girl assisting me tried the same actions I took then RESET ALL PHONE SETTINGS.  Still didn't work so she told me I had to take the phone back home and dial 611.

John from Verizon tech support had me change to Google Messages, which worked.  I never did like that version but he told me Verizon has an ongoing problem with the samsung messages app, though I've used it for years problem free

So Tonight just for the heck of it I switched back to the samsung version and it works just fine.

  • Bottom line is Verizon services are a joke. And I'll be taking my two lines and switching providers very shortly.
  • What a joke
