What to do if phone is disconnected and continue to be billed. Unable to log into account to retrieve PIN.

My phone was disconnected 8/4/23.  Switched to a different carrier.  Set Verizon up to pay final balance on 8/24/24, via credit card (transaction occurred as planned).  I am receiving bills via email.  Unable to log into disconnected account.  Do not know PIN and unable to retrieve it, since I cannot log into the account.   Spoke on phone earlier and the representative told me she needs the PIN to log in and look at this account.  What the heck?  If you don't remember your PIN from a zillion years ago (long-time customer) and the account will not allow you in to retrieve it--then what are you supposed to do?
