Why am I being forced to pay more for my current plans when I did not change them?

I just got off the phone with Verizon yet again about my bill increasing. I was guaranteed that it was handled and would be changed back to what was agreed upon and yet now a month later I am being told that it was a one time credit and it cannot be changed. I am being forced to change my plan which I have had for many years now or I will be charged more.  I did not agree to change my plan nor did I agree to pay more for my current plan. I have 6 phone lines and an Ipad Line, I bring plenty of money to them and they want to just make even more. When you sign up for a plan and agree to that plan with a set price why is it okay for Verizon to just change it to suit their needs? This is horrible customer service and shows that they do not believe in treating a long term loyal customer with respect. I have received a call back from a manager while typing this and now have to wait for a different manager to call me back possibly sometime this week. Apparently this manager is not capable of whatever needed to be done to handle my billing issue forced on me.  Also if anyone working for Verizon reads these please understand I do not want to downgrade my agreed upon phone plans to lesser plans to " save myself money" which is what I was forced to argue for with the original call taker. I don't want to change my plan or be forced to pay more for my agreed upon plans. I hope this gets figured out correctly so I do not have to figure out some other plan in the near future, as I am not the one that just lets stuff go.

We would love to take a closer look at your situation. What changes happened to your bill? What was the increase? Please tell us more.

message send was a failure on the email. Then I tried to paste what I put in the email on here and then I was forced to hit accept on a message pretty much says youโ€™re not going to allow me to put what needed to be and it was derogatory.

I am not able to edit my last comment but was supposed to say that my copy and paste was not derogatory in any way. Also just answered the last message sent by Verizon. Looking like you want me to authenticate my account so that you can discuss a plan change to suit my needs. Not sure if whomever is answering this thread is reading what I have written because on your end it's a different person responding each time. I do not want to change my plan or price which I have had for years........ I don't want to see an increase in price to a plan that I already have and do not want to change. I am really unsure how an agreement can be changed to suit your needs when I have paid my bills on time every time and have not requested a plan change.

There were some announcements made a few months ago and other discussions elsewhere in these forums about there being a $4/line increase on legacy plans.

I get what you are saying here, still does not make it right. Being a customer used to mean something, no longer is that the case. These big corps do what they like and people just have to deal with it or find another option. I am happy with the service I get while using my phone for the most part but the actual service provided by the business is so bad. I have been on the phone for hours with Verizon numerous times throughout the last three years and it is just leaving the worst taste.

Well just leaving this here for future readers. I don not want to change my plan or the price I was paying. Unfortunately it appears there is nothing I can do about it. Hopefully this helps potential future customers in their decision on a cellular carrier.

That's horrible to know this happened to you. I too am in the same boat this month I got up charge of $4 for their new change of old Verizon plan that I sign up last year ! My 5G start unlimited mobile plan increased , plus I think they up charged an extra $3 for federal / state taxes. I usually pay like 77 plus change and now my payment went up to 84 dollars plus change. It's hella annoying Knowing that prices are going to be increasing now that there's no more affordable connective program ( ACP) to help with other payments I have going on .I mean yeah a couple dollars don't seem all that bad but I have 2 year to pay for this Verizon phone I sign to lock into a contact. . Uughh . .

exactly itโ€™s ridiculous. I have six lines plus an iPad with its on my plan so it hit me hard with all the upcharges. I still have not received a phone call from the manager over the person that told me that my bill would not be increased monthly because that was a recorded conversation. Iโ€™ve been contacted by somebody else from another department who said they are trying to get in touch with supervisor but that was last week and was told I would receive a call on Friday last week. That supervisor called me Friday afternoon to touch base to see if the other person called me and said that they would again push a message through to them to get them to contact me by this Friday.  how long is this gonna take . Verizon donโ€™t have no problem raising my bill and then attempting to get in contact with me by like six different people through emails support and all that to try to get me to switch my plan. But try to make something that was wrong. Iโ€™m at two weeks now.
