Wrong Device entered for trade in

Hello,  I recently availed of the “any phone, any condition” trade in offer for an iPhone upgrade.  When the rep entered the device trade-in info, the phone was listed as an iPhone 4S but is actually an iPhone 4.  All the other details on the phone were correctly entered.  I haven’t sent back the trade-in phone yet, I need to see how to get this fixed beforehand, so that when the “wrong device” is received, I don’t risk losing my credit and being fully charged for the phone.  Thanks!

I can assure you that as long as your Device ID matches the one that was used for the trade-in you should not expect any issues in order to receive the promotional value you qualify for. Hi Rosie, the link that the last representative sent was only for checking the status on my returned device. 
 
My issue is that the trade-in info for the phone I am returning was listed by Verizon as an iPhone 4S but the phone is actually an iPhone 4.  The device ID (WiFi ID) is correct, as the representative obtained the device ID directly from a video-call option during our telephone call.  I honestly believed that the device was a 4S but in reality, it is a 4.
 
I would like better direction on how to amend my device return info with Verizon, as once the device is returned,  the decision by Verizon to charge me a “wrong device” fee is arbitrary and very difficult to deal with once it has been decided by Verizon.

So what was the resolution? I have the same issue with a pixel 7 in green showing as a pixel 7pro in obsidian.
