I have been with Verizon over 20 years...So many issues.
I moved to a little town 3 years ago. There were summer fires and it was like a tower got burned out, and Verizon decided not to replace it. There are so many customers in the area that the service hardly works at my home unless I'm on wifi...which I have to pay another company $120 a month for. Works great on wifi but that's an added cost...Verizon doesn't have 5G in my town NOR home internet, so that's not an option even though they constantly advertise it and offer it at a discounted price.
Last year after multiple price increases over the years, Verizon finally forced me off my old unlimited plans...so I picked their then-current plans and thought things were good...now they're charging me an additional $4 a month because I won't switch to one of their new, current plans, that would increase my price per month even more for services that I basically only use when I'm away from my home since it doesn't work at home. Plus their "perks" are not anything I am interested in and I like the plans I have, and you're getting even less services for more money...Figured the plans I have are just a year old, but now they're gone and the new plans aren't as good...kind of like Verizon got everyone hooked on smartphones with the truly unlimited data 15ish years ago, then BAM charge way more and it's not actually unlimited anymore but now everyone is hooked.
I got a text message about a year ago that said for my loyalty they were offering a $15 a month discount...no strings attached. When I finally reached out to them several months later, they denied that they offered it, even though I STILL have the message from them offering it, and then as consolation they gave me a simple one-time $15 discount...while lots of other customers that were equal to me were getting that EVERY MONTH, as offered. They won't honor it for me though.
I am looking at other carriers to move off Verizon. Maybe T-Mobile since they'll actually work AT HOME. Between what I pay Verizon and what I pay for internet just to have working phones at home...pricing is ridiculous.
