So not long ago I notice that my Note 20 was not getting 5G like it had been getting for some time. Now I'm just wondering that since the time I got the phone I was moved to a 5G plan because well Verizon said I needed the 5G plan for the phone. Then suddenly there was an update on my device and i wasn't getting 5G anymore just 4GLTE and the service was way spotty. Well this happened about the same time that I paid my phone off. Now knowing that if you don't have an unlimited data plan they can specifically throttle your device to a slower speed. Then suddenly I was getting calls about upgrading my device. Now for 6 years I have had Verizon and never once got a call from a customer service rep. ( aka real person). I should add that I also owed nothing on any devices was just paying for this now for some reason slower data speed and got calls from real individuals working for Verizon to try to sell me a product. My issue is that since I bought the note 20 i was getting 5G and paying for the plan but once paid off still had to pay for the higher plan and wasn't getting the data for the higher 5G plan rate. Short story has anyone else been pushed or lead to getting a new device from Verizon because they did this to them. All while still paying their outrageous plan prices and received no compensation but only to have to purchase a new phone with new payments.
