In the spring of 2023, I received information from a teacher colleague about the educator discount. I applied and received the discount. My wife and I have been lifelong educators and life long (ever since cell phones were available) Verizon customers. I tried to enlist my wife for the educator discount. Initially, I was told we can only have 1 educator discount per account. But as I continued the dialogue, I was told twice, they will talk to their team and push to allow a second discount. In both situations, this did not occur. I conversed a third time with a rep only to be denied, stating company policy allows only 1 educator discount per account. I think this is ridiculous. Teacher are not paid very much and deserve the opportunity for second discount. Verizon should rethink this policy! I do not want to open up a second separate account so both of us can get the discount, which has been suggested. Fees will evaporate the discount quickly. PLEASE RECONSIDER!
Disappointed Verizon customer

Of course, I have not heard from anyone from Verizon. Big corporation is only worried about their bottom line of a million dollar profits. The individual is a very faint voice that does not matter to the big corporation world.
Once again very disappointed!!

We want to make sure we're being completely transparent with what we offer, and we apologize for the mixed messages. There can only be one teacher discount on an account at a time, however, the discount does change based on how many lines you have on the account. With one line, you can expect a $10.00 discount, and it increases to $25.00 with 2 to 3 lines. You can find more information using this link: https://www.verizon.com/support/teachers-discount-faqs/

Jesse,
Thank you for your response.
You state for 2 or 3 lines we should be receiving a $25 educator discount. We have only been receiving a $20 per month discount.

This does not make sense!!! 2 - 3 phones get a $25 discount, but if you have 4 phones on your account you only get a $20 discount?
The discount is:
- 1 phone – $10 discount per account
- 2-3 phones – $25 discount per account
- 4+ phones – $20 discount per account

Joe,
This still does not explain 2 - 3 phones , you get a $25 discount and if you have 4+ phones you get only a $20 discount. Please provide me the logic behind this.

I get I am not the only Verizon customer with issues, but waiting a week for a response shows me my importance to Verizon.
