gift card problem

Like everyone else, it seems, I am unable to redeem my $50 Verizon Gift Card for signing up for Fios. I got the email saying I was now eligible to redeem it, followed the instructions and logged-in to my account, but the redeem link times out.  I tried chatting with customer service  and was told "Please contact our My Rewards specialist between 7AM and 9 PM, and one of our My Rewards representatives will be happy to assist you." I have been on hold with that department for 20 minutes so it looks like a dead end. Help!!

Your issue has been escalated to a Verizon agent. Please check your Private Messenger Inbox for a message from a Verizon Support agent. You can find your Inbox by clicking on your username at the top right corner of this page and then clicking the envelope icon that appears at the top of the menu. Response times may vary. Please continue to check your Inbox for a reply from a Verizon agent. Please direct all correspondence concerning your issue to the agents who will be assisting you privately.
