I am just noticing my bill increased because I need to keep a close eye on my verizon account due to many unjustified over charges. Usually I call customer service were I have to argue with a customer service representative for 20-40 minutes to take off the over charges but this time there flat out saying "this time its a price increase". I find this remarkable as all businesses got a big tax break this year. I have been very disappointed with verizon's constant price hikes, poor and deliberately hard to use customer service and I often run verizon speed checks and my speed is on average about 50mps slower then what I pay for. The internet speed is not my problem, my problem is I have to constantly call customer service to resolve these issues and customer service is deliberately hard to use. Do I really need to call customer service again? I could possibly change my plan or switch to a promotion that's less then what I currently pay because that's been an option before where a lower price is available but you wont get it without spending much time on the phone with verizon customer service. Maybe this time Ill flat out switch services because enough is enough!

I already answered this on another posting. Your posting over and over on a customer helping customer forum does zero good. Verizon does not see these. The moderator may say itโs being bumped up to Verizon. But I doubt that will be any different than your phone complaints.

Did you find any solutions to escalating cost? Our service just increased from $75 month to $165 month without the $25 in taxes and the rental of box top. Now over $200 for basic cable. The only thing I could downgrade to reduce cost by $20 was internet speed and it would have required a 2 year contract. I have been a verizon customer for as long as I can remember. This is insane. Does anyone have recommendations other than switching provider? I also have them for wireless so they are getting a whole lot of money from us every month. Nice way to treat paying customers.

I highly doubt verizon upped your bill by 205% a small increase i could see like $79 to $89 or even $99 but not that amount.
the only solution is to change providers. Consumers should set a price point on the service. Years ago and i mean when cable just came out i paid $10 a month, 40-45 years later it was $80 then it was $129 and one month it went up to $195 so i looked at the bill, and my internet was $40 so i was being charged $155 just for tv. I went up to the time warner store in the mall and returned the set box, said cancel the service and they were offering me tv and internet for $60 complete. Imagine tv for $20 where it was $155 before. So its just pure greed.
simply change service providers. Best solution i can offer.

My price increase is only $5 but it's irritating anyway. No valid explanation from Verizon except "it was on your March bill". (I get bills electronically anyway and never read them, just pay).
Checked the bill, it says "To continue providing you with quality service and product
innovation, at times we need to raise our rates. On or after 30
days from the date of this bill, the monthly rentalrate for Fiosยฎ
set-top boxes will change to the following:
โข The first two boxes will be $12 each..."
wonder what innovation did I get and why do they need rate increase to provide us with quality service?!

ALl providers do it unfortunately. Its what ever price the consumer will stand for.
if the price is not what you want to pay. Its good to simply cancel services and find service elsewhere. A pity, but necessary.
