quoted price to change plan, made switch, new bill is much higher?!

I have been a customer of Verizon for a long time, more than a decade(s?)

I recently went online to see what the plans are.
(I previously had an older 6gb plan, which, with employer discounts, costs me ~$110/month for 2 lines)

I chatted with the rep, and they told me that, after looking at my account, could offer me an Unlimited plan. This would cost:

$130/month (for two lines)

Then, there would be a $40 discount on this, to bring the monthly total to $90/month.

Then, if I used autopay, this would be an additional discount, and would bring it down to $60/month, total, for 2 lines.

This would also include 5gUW "much much faster than what you have now".

They were very clear that this was a much better deal than what I had been paying for.

Well, it seemed like a good deal, so I confirmed all the numbers which they did. And then I made the change.

Now, I see my next bill and it is for $141/month.

I've tried to contact Chat again, and they just say, "sorry, nothing we can do".

I think that this is outrageous. Bait and switch? Deception? False advertising? Just plain out lying?

I'm very disappointed in Verizon, to see you practice this way.

I will mention that this was all in writing, and I do have documentation of this.

Any suggestions to get some help on this?

Hello, soca88. Ensuring you get the best deal is our goal. Help is here. Just to confirm, the next billing summary, does it show any prorations meaning does it show last billing as well as the new billing to come?

So.

when I made the change, my “next” bill was estimated to be $170

Just for the bill and  now actual bill is $250.

and says next bill is estimated at $141.

so no.
It actually got worse.
