2nd Party GPS Apps for BB 8330 Curve

I would like to use a 2nd Party app (nRange) and cannot get it to access the internal GPS.  I don't mind paying the $10/month for vzNavigator.  I just want expanded functions.

VZW tells me that they don't support anyone else's apps.  I've tried starting vzNav with the "follow-me" function and switching apps to the one I want - no luck.  I also did the same thing with BBMaps - still can't make it work.

I've run the device self-test application feature under the Options menu (go to "Options", Choose "Status", type "test", etc.) and ran the GPS test.  It immediately informs me "Failure:  GPS fixing times out!"  Although both vzNav and BBMaps work perfectly.

Any suggestions?

Nothing besides bb maps ans vz nav will run off the internal gps. You might check if the gps software is compatible with a bluetooth puck and go the route
