How to sync up a 9930 BB from a 8530 BB (email, contacts, etc..)?
You can use BB desktop manager on your computer or BB Protect to backup the 8530; then restore the info on the 9930. I don't think the 8530 needs to be activated to do the backup via Desktop manager, and you can download Desktop manager here: http://download.cnet.com/BlackBerry-Desktop-Manager/3000-18511_4-10794759.html or directly from RIM : http://us.blackberry.com/software/desktop.html
To use BB Protect, the phone needs to be activated, so you'd have to swap which one is active. I think desktop manager will work for you.
