A2DP music streaming not working properly
I recently switched from the Blackberry Storm 2 to the Torch 9850. I paired
the phone to two Bluetooth items successfully. When I attempted to pair the
phone to my Sony-Ericsson HBH-DS980 earphones, I noticed that the pairing was
for Handsfree, not for Stereo Audio and A/V Remote Control, as it is for the
Storm. The earphones work perfectly with the Storm and also with the Ipad2. The
specifications for the Torch specify that A2DP is supported.
I called Verizon and they connected me to Blackberry. The technician spent
half an hour trouble-shooting but could not come up with a resolution.
Therefore, have other people experienced the same problem trying to use the
Torch 9850 with A2DP and stereo earphones or speakers. The Blackberry technician
has agreed to keep the case open for one month since the phone is so new to the
market.

P.S. After I wrote the above, my fiancée suggested that I attempt to pair
the Torch with a Soundgate hearing device. It worked perfectly! The Torch
displayed Stereo Audio and A/V Remote Control.
Therefore, are there incompatible devices even though both the phone and
the earphones support A2DP?
