I am trying to access some of my applications from BB app world that worked on my 9330 3G curve before I had to switch it out for a certified preowned one. App world says the applications are "not compatible with this device". How do I resolve this? It is the same device just a pre-owned version? Please help.

When you received your replacement Balckberry Curve 9930 3G, did you sync everything back using the Blackberry Desktop Manager or did you manually install the apps again?
If you did a sync with desktop manager, I would suggest trying to see if it will allow you to add them by going into App World.
