Just chatted with Verizon Sales and they advised me that the BB Classic will be released Feb 5th, 2015!!!!

I have found my answer through Blackberry's website... this device is has been released.. but only to a few retailers online and at this time ONLY AT&T can provide services... BELOW straight from Blackberry ,, Verizon, Sprint and US Cellular will have the device at a later date..

the Blackberry website also states

this is a situation that Verizon , Sprint or US Cellular has NO control over... BlackBerry has designed this device a certain way for some reason.. you may find the answer on their site.. but unfortunately ,, Verizon can not assist you with an answer to why...

Blackberry does state... that devices will be available to all carriers at a later date,,,

50 days since BlackBerry's announcement that the Classic would be available on AT&T and Verizon.

verizon marketing of BB is non-existent.  I have been a lifelong BB user and can't wait any longer.  Goodbye Verizon!  You just lost 30 corporate accounts.

The original announcement was early first quarter. Half way first quarter is mid-February.   To meet early first quarter, they would have to carry it before February 14th.  Verizon made some big announcements today regarding price structures on phone plans. Hoping to be able to lower my monthly payment.

On ATT web site now they have content that the Passport and Classic will be available and you can sign up for updates were as verizon has said nothing. Very Disappointing that it takes this long.

As we can all see, February 5 is past now. I check Verizon News often, no announcements, no real news.

I don't expect to see the Classic until at least mid February. VZW is slow.

I hope you are correct about mid-February.  If nothing else, hopefully before long Verizon will follow ATT's lead on providing Classic information and sign up for updates.

This does get a little old. Verizon always takes their sweet time releasing devices on their network. Its very rare they are on time with the rest of the carriers. I am waiting for them to release the classic along with the rest of you all. Hopefully it is soon. I loved my 9930 and have the q10 now but I am excited to get the tool belt back. Looks like a very sharp device.

I just called Verizon and they did verify this information.

They claim it will be released online and in stores on Feb 26th 2015. It will also available in one color, Black.

In one week, pricing info should be available on Verizon's website.
