My BB is running OS v4.3.0.127
I very much want the new features available in v4.5
I verified with my BES admin that 4.5 is supported by out BES, but any attempt to use the application loader to upgrade the OS ends in a "fatal error". I have to reboot my laptop to get the BB Desktop software to recognise the phone again.
What must I do to upgrade my Curve to v4.5?
You download the client from http://vzw.smithmicro.com/blackberry/download.aspx?ct=corporate
Run the file before plugging your device in.
Plug your device in and you should be prompted to install it.
Depending on your IT rules they may have it blocked so if it still doesn't work you may want to check with them to make sure they do not have you locked from that feature.
More instructions in detail can be found at www.blackberry.com/support, in the search string type update device software, you will want the corporate version though, don't forget.
