BB data plan required?

I currently have the BB 8330 w/the Select plan for 59.99 and Data plan for 29.99. I was curious if I were to cancel my data plan, could I still use my BB w/a basic plan? I don't want to use any other phones because I like the Calendar feature on my BB. Any answers would help. Thanks!

I'm pretty sure the data plan is required for all Blackberry phones.:smileyhappy:

Sandman is correct, data plans are required for all Blackberry devices and if I'm not mistaken, pretty much all smartphones but don't quote me on the last part.
