I have the Blackberry Curve 8530 with os 5.0.0.973 and I am using Backup Assistant 1.5.5.1.50 and for the past 2 days I am unable to use my backup assistant. It fails to back up my contacts. I have tried a battery pull, and I even uninstalled and reinstalled Backup Assistant. I have even tried *228 option 2 and that did not help. My blackberry "loses the network connection" when trying to backup my contacts. If any one has any ideas please let me know.

I followed the steps listed on the link below and my problem is compleately solved now and I am happy once again!

**Update** This problem does not stop with back assistant. I am unable to load pandroa over 3g and skype mobile does not connect either! So I suspect there is a 3G DNS problem in my area or there is a 3G DNS problem with my phone. My area code is 17501 if this helps.
Well i think my problem will be solved, I called Customer Serivce and spoke to e tech, and they recomended that I backup my stuff and wipe it and reload everything.

Which instructions did you use? The link you added links to a "Unable to get internet on my device". Did you follow this then were able to access your contacts?
