Backup errors

I tried to back up my storm tonight and it gave me an errror message and said that it had an error backing up the database(s) .  I searched the help in the BSM.  No luck, tried BB website and came here for help instead.  Can anyone help me so that i can backup my data again.  I would restore my previous backup, but not sure if my recent contact additions and work will be lost?

When you backup your files what error message do you get? 

When you are backuping up your files there should be a progress bar, what is it backing up when it errors out?

Do a custom backup and do not backup the section that is erroring out and the rest will backup successfully.  Sometimes, you may need to do a battery pull before backing up your data. 

Make sure you have a good connection when you connect your storm to your PC.

If all else fails, uninstall blackberry desktop manager.  (completely)

Then reinstall it and attempt to backup your files once again.  Report back to us!

i did a batt pull and it backed up more than before but now its at message list options and it says "error backing up databases"
