Does the BlackBerry® Curve™ 8330 or any other blackberry stayed charged through the USB cable while it's used as a modem connecting a desktop to the internet?

Yes usb charges the phone.  Just  plug it in and you will see. Now using it might make it about even charging and using at same time.
