BlackBerry Storm - "Timed" delay

I have had the Storm since March and actually have been loving it. I travel a lot for work and it has helped me tremendously both personally and professionally. That being said, the past few weeks have been very frustrating! Since I am out of state a lot, I am hoping somebody can help me fix the problem I am having without me having to take a trip into the Verizon store.

Anyway, when I go to use it or when the phone rings, I cannot immediately access the phone. A small clock appears and it can be anywhere from 6 seconds to 3 minutes until it goes away and I can do anything. I cannot tell you how many calls I have missed because I cant "Answer". The frustrating thing is, it seems to come and go. It started about 3 weeks ago and happens a few days a week. Annoying!

I have been trying to see if it happens more when the battery charged versus battery low but it doesnt seem to make a difference.

any ideas to eliminating this?

Thanks!

My first suggestion would be to go into your clock options and in the first section next to the "When Charging" option set it to "Do nothing."  After doing that see what happens and report back, we'll go from there.

I've had the same problem. It maybe because it needs to be cleaned out. When you run apps they may remain running in the background and it slows the phone. Always make sure you close these out when your done. They also drain your battery. I also noticed that my Storm slows down when the battery is low. This may also cause the delay on answering the phone. I know it's very annoying. You can try the free "quickpull" app from crackberry.com or take you battery out for a hard restart. To clean go to options>security options>memory cleaning then click on blackberry button>clean now. This may help.
