Blackberry Bold??

When is Verizon going to offer the Best Blackberry out there: the Bold? Or even the newer Curve. The Storm has too many issues.. and those of us who like real keys would love to have the latest and greatest and not have to wait a year later than others for new devices.

I am just tired of waiting for phones....I was very excited to hear about the bold and was going to go to ATT and get a G1 IPHONE, but then I heard about the Bold. My contract is up this month and if the bold is not out, I am going to switch. Both have the coverage I like, and I am not going to keep waiting for Verizon to come out with a phone after everyone else is offering it. Why do they take a second seat to the others? My question is:  any reliable new info on this being released soon? I would stay if I knew I would get one this month.

IPHONE v. BOLD. ATT has both.

IPHONE v BOLD. Verizon has neither.

Hello and welcome to the forum!   I can sense the frustration here.   It seems you are leaving Verizon because none of the aforementioned phones are out yet on Verizon.    The G1 is a T-Mobil phone, the Iphone is an AT&T phone as is the Bold.   None of those phones are out on Verizon and have never been reported to be out on Verizon.    So I guess what I'm saying is none of them are "overdue" for release with Verizon as none of them were ever supposed to be here.

I hate to see you leave but if one of those devices is what you are after then it is totally understandable why you will need to leave to obtain one of them.    The Iphone may at some point next year come to Verizon and we are getting the new Blackberry Tour supposedly sometime in mid-July which will be very much like the Bold.    However, neither of these are going to be out this month I'm afraid.

Again, I totally get the frustration and I've said it myself that we really need a MUCH better selection of higher end phones to really do justice to the Verizon superior network.    I'm with an LG Dare right not that I'm not exactly feeling all that much love for anymore myself and I'm frustrated because I too would love to have either an Iphone, Bold or the new Tour right now as well!   Wish I could give you more positive news but I won't lie to ya and tell ya this is all going to change anytime soon.   It's not :smileysad:

Ooops:   Did you mean a G1 or a a Frist Generation Iphone?    I may have mistakenly thought you meant just a G1 which is on T Mobil.   I doubt if you'd want a Frist Generation Iphone when they are about to release their Third Generation Iphone next month.   Sorry, if I misunderstood that part :smileysad:

Yes. You are correct. I meant the Apple.

Too bad. You have to wonder about what they are thinking.....not really strong decisions....

The 9630 Niagara is coming, definitely.  It's a world phone.  Think of it as the Bold with CDMA.  Buggy, yes, but a good phone.  The bugs will get ironed out before release.  Not like the Storm.

The Niagra 9630 will hopefully launch with the 5.0 platform and bugs should be worked out by then.   I don't think RIM or Verizon want another Storm fiasco on their hands.

How is the Blackberry Bold the best Blackberry out there? It's so big, the form factor is horrible. It doesn't fit nicely in the hand, you almost have to use two hands to hold on to because it's so big. Why not just carry around a netbook?
