Does anyone know if the BB Curve can send sms texts longer than 160 characters? If so, how do I set it up to do this? I'm new to BlackBerry. Thanks for your help.

From the Factory you cant, but there is an app for that
Beyond 160 is not free its 7 dollars but will allow you to break that little boundary if its a major problem.
What it does is allow you to pass 160 characters but it will send it as two texts instead of one with out having to delete characters and try to figure out how to make it all fit.

There is a free way to do it. Instead of creating an SMS to send, create a MMS. Yes this is used for pix/flix messages but you don't have to add any of those items. You can include only text and it will allow up to 1,000 characters. Or..just send an email.
