First question does the phone automaticly run off the wifi when i am in a wifi area or do i have to change it every time. Second I tether my phone to my laptop and need to know on my bill does the data usage come up as what i have used for both or is it seprate because i didnt see when it broke the data usage down from my phone to my tethering . I am trying to figure out how much data I use a mth may change to the $15 a mth data plan.

Your device does not automatically connect to WiFi when you are in an area with Wi-Fi, you must change it. Also, the data is listed separately. You can view your data usage by signing into your My Verizon and click data usage.

I am not sure if this was your question but, Data usage via WiFi is NOT recorded on your bills data usage. Only Verizon network data usage is recorded and billed on your usage statement.
I found the best way to determine if I could go to the 150MB plan was to track my usage for an entire month without WiFi. If that month came in under 150MB, then with WiFi I knew I would be OK.
