Blackberry Storm muffled sound

I've been told by several people that when I make a call from my BB Storm, my speech is muffled.  Have others experienced this and is there a resolution?  Am I holding the phone incorrectly?  Is there a setting that will correct this problem?

I have the same problem with mine with or without bluetooth earpiece.
