Blackberry email problems

I live in So CA and have been having great problems with email and web access for 2 days now. I see others are experiencing the same problems, when will the issue be fixed? This is getting very frustrating.

Verizon is aware of the problem and has a team working on fixing the problem as we speak. Hopefully, the problem will be fixed soon. Thanks for being patient.

No, no one knows how long it will take. this morning, the Verizon tech support told me that they are aware of it, and that they and Blackberry are working on it. According to Verizon this is a RIM problem.  I asked if we would be reimbursed for not having service, and again, according to the person I talked with at Verizon, yes.

This is becoming ridiculous and really a big problem for me.

This has been going on since the 13th, at first the blamed the phone finally on the 19th the started getting enough complants to investigate the network. They are blaming blackberry but I am seeing issues from driod users as well

My issue started Jan. 15th.  Verizon finally realized its a network issue on Thursday Jan. 20th.  Not estimated time of being fixed.  They said you will be credited for the problem but they need to fix it first so they can calculate the dates to credit their customers.

This is ridiculous.  Service has been spotty AT BEST since Friday for me.  Late emails, no web, and I'm going through 2-batteries a day!!

It's been affecting my blackberry messenger and access to gchat and AIM.  Is this the same problem?

Yes cuyazzie this is the same problem.  BBM service has been spotty at best.  Takes close to an hour for messages to show up.  I suggest text messaging until the issue is resolved.

I'm in the Midwest (Indiana). My work email on my Blackberry stopped yesterday afternoon. VERY frustrating. Talked to IT (I'm one of them!) thinking problem was at work. But suspect not now.

Funny though: work email (.edu domain) doesn't work but gmail, yahoo, hotmail accounts work as usual. Any insights on that?

Reporting back on my problem. Called Verizon yesterday; since my data was coming in okay in browser, they thought it was not their problem. They transferred me to RIM. Went to first level of support first; person repeated mostly what I'd tried but a few things I couldn't try to get my email working again. Didn't work but she was very patient. Unresolved, so she sent me to next level of support. Very knowledgeable and after repeating some steps and trying new, felt (99% sure) that it was a server problem within my organization. Well . . . the fix did end up coming from my employer! But both Verizon and RIM gave it their all. And RIM sent me some info I passed on that might have helped with the fix. Hope it stays up and running. I empathize with all who have work email problems. We're so tied to it!

Both of my email accounts have stopped pushing to the device. The last email I got was at 3 a.m. today. Now my browser isn't working either.

As of 10am this morning, all service have been restored on BB. I am in So CA, we will see if it lasts. Let's hope..

It's 5pm in So CA and I have lost all on my Blackberry again! No emails, no web, no apps. ARRGH

Oh, no, not again. I hope yours is back up soon. I've never seen a RIM outage last longer than a day.

 

I did a battery pull at 6 last night, and all my emails from yesterday showed up. And my other data-dependent apps starting working again.

 

It's frustrating, but my BB has been reliable for the past 2.5 years, so I'm not going to freak out about this.

I think I'll just wait till March to use my Bold - this is crazy! Whether it's RIM, or Verizon, I really don't need to be learning a new device and dealing with outages at the same time. I would get so confused...

Maybe I'll just add the $15 data to my my Voyager now, so it will be in place when I DO decide to embrace the Bold...
