Blackberry storm problems

My phone will not charge. I have had in on the charger all night and still it will not charge. I have taken the battery out and then put it back in and still nothing. It shows the little charging thing when the phone is off but it wont let me turn the phone on. Im a college student so I don't have another phone to call Verizon off of to try to fix the problem. Please Help!
