Does anyone know the release date for the blackberry bold on verizon? I currently have the BB 8830 but really like the BOLD BB has lot more features than the 8830.......any information regarding the release would be very helpful

Hello international,

Well let me take a shot at this....I belive the Bold is on AT&T's network. However, the 9630 unoficially named the Niagara/Tour should be released on July 13th from what I'm hearing and reading about. Price probably rolls out with $299.00 w/2 year contact.

Some specs:

 

 480x360 Screen

256 MB Device Memory / 130 MB Dedicated Application Memory
3.2MP Camera
3G CDMA (EV-DO Rev.A)
Qualcomm MSM7600
Black Trackball
aGPS

 

Probably comming out with the 5.0.xx.xxx Operating System.

This device will be comprable to the Bold Device without the WiFi

Thanks Michael! 

 

I prefer BlackBerry and I really don't care for the Storm - don't like the touch screen, etc....  I've checked out the BOLD and has all the functions I need.  I have the 8830 Global BlackBerry it's been good especially when I travel internationally but it does not have camera......

 

Thought I heard that Verizon will be carrying the BOLD once AT&t had it for the first year........

 

Anyone know if Verizon will even carrry the BOLD?
