I receive a lot of work email often 100+ daily (we don't use enterprise server). I would like to adjust the interval or frequency that my devise receives email as often I sit at my desk while my device receives what seems like an almost continuous stream of email. On my laptop I can set the frequency to check for new email which is set for every 5 minutes. If my laptop downloads the email first it deletes it off the server and nothing goes to the device. All the extra email drains the battery.
Anyone know how to set the interval or frequency my 8830 receives email? I appreciate any help anyone can offer.
The point of a Blackberry and RIM's claim to fame is that you receive your emails instantly. ALL THE TIME. It's directly pushed to your device so you can't control the interval. What you use on a PC or WindowsMobile is fetch email.
You can always turn your data services off and just leave the phone on to receive calls. Then turn it on again and you'll receive a flood of emails.
