Does Verizon or RIM let you know when there is a software update available for the Curve 8330??

When you plug your phone into your computer Blackberry DM will tell you if you have any pending updates.

Thank you. I do not use the blackberry dm often. I have a fear of making an irreversible mistake. Last time I tried to update my berry using the dm my berry locked up on me. I had to replace it and lost all of my information.

To answer your question yes they do ...sometimes ...I just got an email the other day to update my storm which I currently dont own. I backup my Curve once a week wether it needs it or not.

I own a Mac. How do I go about updating my Blackberry? Is there a way to do it through my phone directly?
