Hoping you can help with the issues I am having before and after upgrade download on 6/16/09....
1) Before and after upgrade....AOL AIM application refuses to accept user name and password ...deleted and reloaded application 3X
2) Enter and refresh keys stick.....several pushes to get back key (refresh) key to accept. Enter key no longer prompts and just sends messages. Sometimes switch application box comes up instead of sending message.
3) several pushes to disconnect a call
4) now hearing a clicking /crakling sound when pushing functions keys bar
Is this a phone hardware issue or software issue.

the issues with AOL is a software issue, but highly doubtful it's the Storm OS. check AOL to make sure your username and password that you are entering is correct.
the "refresh" key is actually called the escape key, and the "enter" key is actually called the menu key...
what it sounds like with that is that the key rate is set too high. go to options> screen/keyboard> key rate - set it to medium or low> menu> save. Key rate is exactly what it sounds like, and is exactly like a computer - the higher the setting, the faster it recognizes the key press.

the several pushes to disconnect and crackling sound when pressing a key definitely sounds like a hardware issue with your function buttons. The only thing you can do is take the phone to a store for inspection - and either warranty or insurance replacement depending on what they find.
