Help with Calendar on Storm or Tour

I want to buy a Blackberry Storm or Tour, to replace both a very old cellphone and a very old Palm PDA which I used for contacts and Calendar.   I know that of course both the Tour and Storm can store CONTACTS and remember APPOINTMENTS in the CALENDAR.    However, my old Palm could color-code the appointments depending on the type of appt.  For example, I could assign Blue to any appt with my Manager at work,  Green to Appts with my kids (dentist), Red to appts with my wife (Dinner Parties, PTA meetings).   So, on a given day, I can look at the calendar and see various appointments in different colors, telling me if they are Work, Kids, or Wife appts.

Can the Storm or Tour do color-coding of appts?   If not, do you know any other phones that can do this?  The VerizonWireless Kiosk people in the mall have no idea what I am talking about.    I don't really want to buy one and then return it.

Tried looking for something like that in my Curve 8330 and my Tour 9630, but didn't find anything. I'm sure there's some type of calendar/organizer app that would have functionality like this. I'll do a little more research once I'm away from the office and have full internet access. Have you ever used Google apps? Maybe Google calendar would something like that. You can sync all your Google apps stuff to your Blackberry.

But I'll dig around some in app world and on Crackberry.

I've had the last 4 or 5 models of BB and dont recall one having that option, although I really do like that suggestion.  One thing the Storm/ Tour does do is color code your emails.  This is helpful when scrolling through emails quickly to see what is personal, BES, etc.

You can go to crackberry.com and seach PocketDay Personal.  Someone mentioned it was decent and the best they've seen so far for BB.  In the features section it states tasks can be color coded by priority (foreground color or background color)....not sure if that's good enough but from what I can tell there's nothing else to speak of for the BB that does what you're requesting at this time.  The application costs $19.95.  Hope this helps.

Thanks for researching this.    It sounds like it will work for us.   I'll take a look at it.
