How do I set my Blackberry Curve to notify me when someone receives or reads a text msg?

I know there's a way to do this, but I can't figure it out. How do I set my Curve to notify me once a txt msg has been received or read?

Hi,

Welcome to the forums.  To be able to tell if a person receives your SMS text message, do the following:

1.  Press the Menu key

2.  Press Options

3.  Click on SMS Text

4.  Delivery Report:  Change to ON

5.  Press the Menu key again

6.  Press Save

That's it.  You will see a check mark by the text message you sent.  When it is delivered to the person's phone, it will put a little "D" above the check mark.

What does "delivered" to the phone mean? Does it mean opened?

I think once it is read the D turns to an R. I know it does that in BB Messenger. Not too sure about SMS though

i dont see this option on the storm...but we get the received mess with other verizon wireless customers and always get that mess on mms...not sms though.

I have Berry buzz which you can set by color to tell you which messages you have from which source,also if bat. is getting low and in general if you have a message. It is available on Crack berry, maybe still on sale there is a different version for the Storm. As far as notifying when the other side gets it I assume what has been told before on here works.
