It will depend on when you actually upgrade but currently the 8703e is $29.99, 8830 (World Edition) & 8330 (Curve) $49.99, 8230 (Pearl Flip) $79.99, 9530 (Storm) $99.99, and 9630 Tour $199.99, these prices do not assume any other discounts and are subject to change.
The data plans are $29.99 for the Email & Web for Blackberry and $44.99 for the Blackberry Solution.

If your current voice and text plan is working well for you then there's no need to change it, you can keep exactly what you have now. Adding the Blackberry will just bolt on an additional $30 for the data plan for unlimited web/email access.
The Blackberry Tour 9630 which is 1 month old runs $199.99. However, the older devices like the Storm is $99.99 and the Curve is only $49.99. So it depends on how new of a model you want. The Storm 2 is also right around the corner, November release and should also be around $199.99.

Difference is whether you want to sync your data wirelessly from your Blackberry to your PC and vice versa. Calendar, contacts and tasks on PC (in Outlook or similar program) can sync wirelessly to device and calendar, contacts and tasks on device are backed up to remote server. This only occurs with the $44.99 data plan.
