I bought a BB Storm from a friend, to realize that I am unable to add data service to my phone until I have the pin remove and get one of my own. How may I remove my the pin from my BB Storm 9530??

As long as the Phone isn't activated on an account, When you activate it you should be good to go. When you signup with a carrier, your Berry will be activated through BIS along with your pin, The only thing that could hang you up is if the Phone is still active on another account. In which case YES you would need to contact the previous carrier and have the Phone Deactivated
